MARISHA feat. MUSIC P - WHO WILL SURVIVE (Matrix Soundtrack Violin Rap Cover)
The Background Story
„who will survive?“
The short movie "Who Will Survive" symbolizes emotionally yet meaningful via its own language - the music - the difficult situation, in which the music / art and event industry is. It's the music and the creative artists, who represent society and without it, life would be silent and without emotion. Music is the key to our soul, to our innerself and simultaneously to the outerworld. „When we lose music, our soul will be held captive and become lonely", says Marina Belinska (MARISHA), idea provider of the project.
This project was born in May 2020, when the event industry was locked down because of the virus. At a time, where many people returned back to work, musicians and the event industry are standing at the edge of their existence.
Artists love for the music and the stage, without it, there's no life.
In this music video, we want to specifically point out that matter.
A young violinist prepares for her show at a hotel room, while her past performances run through her head. Booked out stadiums and excited fans, full of life, the people, to which this video is also dedicated.
Following this, she's headed to the concert hall and walks on stage. One can feel the emotions and her passion during the performance. Afterwards your attention is drawn to the only listener in the empty hall. The turning point of the movie. The perfect picture artists are facing at the moment, an empty hall, being left with nothing. No shows, no audience but also no income. It simply hurts a lot.
Rapper Music P angrily, yet imploringly doubles down on the message with his lyrics.
Until now, there are no lobbyists representing this sector with their expertise and power. Everybody is on his own. Thanks to the organisation "AlarmstufeRot" (Red alert) 2 million people now have hope. Hope for acceptance of society and material support, which is absolutely essential.
As well as for Marisha! For her, as a young violinist, just as shown in this video, there's nothing more to do than busk. She just wants to be heard, because without audience and consumers, music and art makes no sense. As well as without revenues and this is just not how it's supposed to end. "We're not just artists, we're the key to the soul of humanity" is the message.
The mic is there, but the crowd isn‘t, got a lot to say but no crowd listens,
what‘s the artist without the audience?
what‘s the party without the obvious?
there‘s no tolerance from the lobbyists,
there‘s more godliness from the hobbyist!
if there‘s no music, what do you hear?
if there‘s no music, our souls disappear!
who will survive without art?
who will survive without music?
who will survive without the people
who are putting their soul into music?
